Did you know that lipids, found in cold water fish especially, provide the omega 3 fish oils that are popularly used as supplements today?  Marine oils is another name for fish oils and these oils are also highly present in phytoplankton.

As research goes on, numerous possible omega 3 benefits are being discovered.  Diets rich in omega 3 fatty acids have been applied with success to aid inflammatory diseases of the skin, joints, kidney and stomach.  In fact omega 3 fish oils appear to have more anti-inflammatory properties than those discovered in vegetable oils.  Schooling ourselves about fish oils is proving to be valuable!
