Have you heard the term “superfoods” used referring to death defying nutrition items to eat?  Of course, you have.  And while the marketing of such foods is, for commercial purposes, rather blown out of proportion, there are certain facts that brought these foods to the attention of the nutritionists.

You see, some of these foods are well known to be super nutrient loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and other nutrients that truly promote excellent health.  For instance, pumpkin is considered a class A nutritional superfood, and the artichoke has proven to be a high fiber, no fat food containing numerous phytonutrients which are powerfully healthy antioxidants.  As it’s easy to see, these foods are traditionally seasonal.  Many superfoods tend to be natural, organic and, of course seasonal.  So, when these items are out of season, it becomes very useful to find low carb meal replacements that also produce a comparable package of low calorie, low fat, fibrous and highly nutritious food value.  That way you can keep your nutrition optimal and constant on a daily basis!
