As early as the 30’s, omega 3 fatty acids have had the scientific proof of being important for normal growth and health.  Since the newer, more purified omega 3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, arrived on the nutritional scene, awareness of omega 3 benefits has dramatically increased.

Benefits of DHA and EPA omega 3 are now the most popular.  They we discovered from studies of an Inuit tribe in Greenland in the 70’s.  This tribe consumed large amonts of fatty acids contained in seafood and showed almost no evidence of cardiovascular diseases.  Omega 3 benefits for the tribe were reduced heart rate, blood pressure, triglycerides and atherosclerosis.  It’s highly recommended that as a cardiovascular dietary supplement, you try the fish oil!
